Certificates & Degrees in Audio Engineering

Audio Engineering Program Details

Entrance Requirements

Students must start the program in fall due to course sequencing. Complete the placement processthrough the Testing Center. Visit wwcc.edu/placement for more information.

Program Outcomes

  • Operate audio recording/mixing consoles and signal processing equipment in both recording studio and live sound applications.
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency recording, editing, and mixing with digital audio workstations.
  • Create an electronic portfolio showcasing knowledge, skills and abilities acquired in the program for presentation to potential employers, peers, and colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively with musicians and the public, using musical and technical vocabulary accurately in studio and live performance contexts.
  • Design and implement audio engineering solutions that reflect awareness of multiple perspectives and thorough analysis of needs, resources, and technology.
