Kyson RoseWALLA WALLA, WASH. – Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) Men’s Basketball player Kyson Rose has been awarded with the NWAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Year. Rose was also awarded with the NWAC East Region Player of the Year.

Rose led the Warriors to a 24-6 overall record and East Region second seed in the 2023 NWAC Men’s Basketball Championship tournament. He was fourth in the conference with an average of 22.6 points per game, shooting 62% from the field (third best) and 82% from the foul line. Rose also averaged 10.5 rebounds per game, good for second in the NWAC conference.

Rose will be honored at the NWAC Hall of Fame Banquet in Pasco on June 1. WWCC also announced Tuesday that Rose has committed to playing for the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball team at Whitworth University (Spokane).
