Walla Walla Community College

A couple weeks ago, more than 40 high school counselors, educators and administrators from Washington and Oregon gathered at the Water & Environmental Center on our Walla Walla Campus for the annual High School Partners Conference.

Attendees learned about Walla Walla Community College’s programs, degree options, support services, financial aid and much more while earning continuing education clock hours toward their own professional development.

“These educators play a pivotal role helping students bridge the gap between high school and college,” says Director of Outreach Melissa Rodriguez. “We want them to have all the support and tools they need to help students make successful transitions.”

Participants were especially interested to learn about WWCC’s Dual Credit Programs and the Disability Support Services the college can offer. And they had the opportunity to share feedback that will help inform the work WWCC is doing with the Horizons grant and the Limitless Learning Network to help more students successfully transition from high school to college. Save the date for next year’s High School Partners Conference: April 15, 2025.
