Three Walla Walla Community College students—Stella Fern, Oscar Sandoval Flores and Foy Spencer—have been awarded the 2024 Ford Auto Tech Scholarship, which provides $5,000 toward tuition, tools and other expenses for students pursuing careers in auto or diesel repair technology. Additionally, Ford dealers in the region will serve as a support system to the students, offering advice, on-site training and career guidance.

The scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis, so interested students may still apply while funds last. To learn more, visit the Tech Force Foundation website.

Another student, Damien Pope, passed all eight Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification tests and was an ASE Master Certified Technician upon graduation this spring from the Automotive Repair Technology program.

“It’s a significant achievement,” says Automotive Repair Technology Instructor Matthew Lyon.

Congratulations to all four of these accomplished students!
